The Academy stuck a marker down in an indoor tournament today with the "All Aboard the Dang Bus" team led by Pete beating the HB Under 17 team that had made its way through its semi final against another 6 from the HB set up.
The Academy semi final was dominated by All Aboard the Dang Bus with a total of 180 set, and "Team Tui" not getting very close.
The final was intriguing, with the Academy team setting 100 runs to win, this would have been significantly more if it wasn't for the inept batting of Beale and Markie who managed to add 4 runs in their 6 overs. However, a sublime bowling performance meant that HB Under 17's came up roughly 15 runs short. The comprehensive nature of this victory was exaggerated by some outrageous umpiring from Umpire Strikesback (Dale Smidt) who tried to keep HB in the contest throughout.
