Crossing through private properties, this is your once a year chance to take a walk, run or ride down The Wild Side of the Lake Mahinerangi area. With some of the most spectacular scenery in the country, this is not an opportunity to be missed.

All entrants get to see, one of the most scenic parts of Otago. There is even the opportunity of some fishing, if you finish early enough.

Travel gravel roads with views of Lake Mahinerangi, climbing and descending rarely used forestry tracks, with views over the Taieri Plains. Including a fantastic 7km downhill decent that includes crossing country farmland, forestry track, native bush, wetlands and mud tracks before a final sprint to the finish line.

Registration is compulsory. You will be unable to participate without picking up your race number and reading the pre race briefing sheet the prior to the race.

The registration will be held in Lake Mahinerangi at the start of the course in the TrustPower picnic area.
