TRANS TASMAN UNDER 18
History was made at Birkenhead Bowling Club, North Harbour on 28th February 2010 when New Zealand defeated
Australia in the Under 18 event for both men and women.
The successful players were
Under 18 (Men and Women) Kirsten Griffin, Emma LeLievre, Ryan Khan and
Monte PawaThe Under 18 Side was under the watchful eye of Terry Scott assisted by National Selector Colleen Ferrick.
There is no better example than this of the Pathways and High Performance Programme working. Each Player had an individual performance plan in place prior to the event which was monitored by one of the Coaches. The results proved the worth of coaching, the High performance programme and the pathways now in place for players i.e. secondary school programme and national finals, Kittyhawks Under 19 Championship and the Bowls NZ Challenge Trophy.
