Counties Indoor Bowling Centre is made up of 14 member clubs. Our Championships and Representative fixtures are played at the Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club where we have a venue that holds 32 mats and has been built specifically for the playing of indoor bowls.
Kath Arvidson David Hamilton Ian Spice of the Papakura Club successfully Defended their Triples title today. In a close Final against Jason Parker, Bruce Hudson Kevin Kemp from Pukekohe Cossie Club, Parker raced out to a 9 -5 lead but had it clawed back to 9all after 9 ends. With the game decided over 3 extra ends the Arvidson skipped team managed a single on each end to run out 12 - 9 winners
Wilcox Fours Winners of the wilcox fours over the weekend were Jason Parker, Bruce Hudson, Joyce Wilson, Kevin Kemp.. In a tight final against the Pukekohe Cossie team of Roger Andrew, Muriel Queenin, Margo Blythe, Roy Palmer. game was tied at 7 all last end when Hudson drew the kitty right at the back of the mat to then hold onto the shot for a hard fought 8 - 7 win

Performed with distinction at this years event held at Western Hall in Auckland over the weekend
Counties continued with the usual fast start in the first round to be be trailing the leaders by 2 points but continued the good work to be running second at the end of the first day
Another solid day on the Sunday saw counties just pipped for 2nd by Roskill & Districts by just 1 point with Auckland a further 14 points ahead in first
Top performace by Jason Parker with 11 wins from 15, Carl Tewharau & Ian Malcolm with 8
Final placings Auckland 115 points, R & D 101 Counties 100, Northland 79, North Harbour 74, Thames Valley 68
Nationals Review
Counties players performed with good effort and reward at the 2010 nationals in Taupo.. Most bowlers qualified in multiple events.. Including many whom were playing at the nationals for the first time.

Mixed Pairs Jason Parker & Muriel Queenin took out the mixed pairs over Ron Blythe & Lona Agate. After picking up 4 on the fourth end to lead 8 - 2 Parker & Queenin held on to comfortably take the win
NZ Mixed Fours Winners Found Roger Andrew, Bruce Hudson, Joyce Wilson, Nancye Wright will represent Counties at the zone final of the NZ Fed Fours... In a thrilling final after trailing the whole game Andrews team won over Jason Parker, Carl TeWharau, Muriel Queenin, Margot Blythe in an extra end with the last bowl of the game
Open Fours Roger Andrew became the first person to win 50 Counties centre titles when he skipped his team to the Open Fours Title on Sat 24th April In a one sided final Roger, Bruce Hudson, Margo Blythe & Kevin Kemp (pukekohe cossie) beat Ian Malcolm, Barry Hamilton, Bryan Duffin, Roy Palmer
The first centre title of the new year were decided this weekend
Ladies Pairs Joyce Wilson & Muriel Queenin winning the Ladies pairs over Kath Arvidson & Debbie Warren with the result decided after Joyce Wilson claimed shot with her last bowl
Mens Pairs In the Mens Pairs Carl TeWharau & Bryan Duffin put in a commanding performance to beat Kevin Orsbourn & Philip Montgomery after leading the whole game.
