North Harbour Indoor Bowls

Kyle Peters from Whangaparaoa College won the singles in the third NZ Indoor Bowls secondary Schools Competition held at North Wellington on Sunday 29th August. In the final he defeated Caitlin Mills 16-8, the final over 12 ends was a one sided affair with Kyle's experience shining through

Congratulations to Kevin Torrey (Greenhithe) who won the Champ of Champ Singles. Of the 14 entries there were only 3 qualifiers, Kevin Torrey, Kevin Whitehead (Mairangi Bay) and Kyle Peters(Albany). Kevin Torrey played Kyle Peters winning 10-6 and then the final against Kevin Whitehead 7-5.
This win gives Kevin his 5th Gold Star

North Harbour v South Island was held on Wednesday 11th August at Kristin School and it was a fabulous atmosphere with a huge supportive crowd. The highly talented South Island Team was too strong for us and North Harbour was beaten 38-10. Results and photos from all the Centre's is available to look at on the NZ Indoor Bowls site

Ladies Super 8 team excelled in the session before lunch over Northland, Auckland and Roskill & Districts. They went into the last round with a handy lead but only just managed to win the trophy by one point over Northland. A great team effort and wonderful team spirit. Well done Ladies.
