Indeed is recognised throughout the world as
the birth-place and the sanctuary of traditional
"KARATE DO." Known originally as "TODE," it's history deeply founded in China.

The New Zealand Dojo of Okinawa-Ryu-Karate Do Shuri Te - Seibukan, is under the guidance of Ian Sargent Sensei and Claire Sargent Sensei. Our traditional instructors and members are all fully registered, holding current International martial arts affiliations.

A most respected "Senior Sensei" who administrates and instructs within our traditional classes in New Zealand, he is continually up-grading his own standards and consistantly maintains a very high level of Traditional Instruction.

Our students are introduced to strong effective personal self defence and traditional etiquettes, building self esteem through dedicated and meaningfull training within a positive and friendly learning environment. All members have the full endorsement of Garry O'Connor Shihan Sensei, Shichidan - 7th Dan, The Principal Instructor and Senior examiner of Okinawa Ryu Karate Do Shuri Te Seibukan, Oceania. .
