15yr old Carla Marsh of the Bay of Islands club has been invited to attend the 3rd camp of three Tri Series Camps being run by SNZ.
She will be looking for selection into the Tri Series Team that will compete in three different NZ locations. This concept is based on the Trans Tasman Series when NZ and Australian teams travel, train and compete in Australia or NZ.
Carla has had previous experience of attending SNZ Age Group Development Camps.
Swimming Northland congratulates Carla on her achievement.
Profile
Carla competed at NZ Age Groups and won a bronze medal in the 200m free. She went on to compete at NZ Opens in April, her first experience at NZ Open Championship level.
April 2010
Three of Northland's young swimmers have been selected by Swimming NZ to attend the SNZ Northern Age Group Development Camp scheduled for November 2010.
Melita Raravula (14yrs), of Northwave Club, Kadince Christensen (14yrs) and Maddison Eastwood (13yrs), Whangarei Club, were selected from the northern zone.

Melita Raravula
Melita's recent acheivements were competing at NZ Opens and finishing 12th in the B Final of both the Women's 50 & 100m Breaststroke and breaking the Northland records.
In March Melita successfully competed at NAG's by winning the Gold in the 13yr Girls 50m Butterfly and Silver in the 50 & 100m Breaststroke.
Kadince Christensen
Competed at National Age Groups and reached the final of the Boys 14yrs 50m Butterfly 7th, 100m Butterfly 5th and 8th 100m Free.
Maddison Eastwood
Competed at NZ Junior Nationals gaining a bronze medal in the 200m Breaststroke.
