Otumoetai Women Midlands Intercity Womens Champions 2010
Beat Fraser Tech 4 - 2

Premier Women:
For the Cup: Otumoetai 4 (Dani Maunder, Katrina Carson, Monique Eades, Oriwa Hepi) Fraser Tech 2 (Shiloh Gloyn, Tegan Mill) HT 3-2. [Played at Tauranga Hockey Centre]  Fraser Tech’s young team made the defending champions work hard for this repeat victory, scoring first, then after Otumoetai equalised Tech went into the lead again a minute later. Captain Katrina Carson got her radar right with a well-drilled penalty corner that beat the agile Tech keeper to draw the teams level again. Otumoetai worked the ball around the Tech defence to take the lead for the first time a little before half-time. Schoolgirl Oriwa Hepi scored the final goal for Otumoetai who retained the Intercity Cup.

For 3rd place: Rotorua Aces 3 Te Awamutu 3. [Played at Rotorua]

Premier Men:
For the Cup: Thames Valley 2 (Ricky Clark, Daniel Roodt) Fraser Tech 1 (Luke Coxhead), HT 1-1. [Played at Ngatea]  A tight even encounter as befits a championship final, with Thames Valley scoring the winner in the second half, leaving Fraser Tech as runner-up for the second successive year.

For 3rd place: Mt Maunganui 1 (Isaac Feeney) Rotorua Aces 1 (Tenga Rangitauira) HT 1-0. [Played at Tauranga Hockey Centre]. Both teams moved the ball around the turf at speed. Just before half time, Aces fumbled a penalty corner and the Mount broke quickly upfield where young student Jacob Fahl drew the defence then slid the ball to left wing Isaac Feeney who scored. Aces had chances to level after the interval with two shots fired over the top of the goal. Then in the 24th minute Tenga Rangitauira completed a slick dribble to flick the ball past the Mount goalie into the net.

For 11th place: Otumoetai 3, Onewhero-Pukekohe 3.
