Fantastic Weekend of Secondary School Indoor Volleyball at VBHB Indoor SS Open

12 Boys teams and 6 girls teams from Gisborne and Hawke's Bay competed in the Secondary Schools Tournament at Napier's Centennial Hall on Friday and Saturday 26th & 27th Feb.
There were some very intense matches with teams fighting hard for match honours. Both Havelock North High School Girls 'B' and Napier Boys High School 'B' teams pushed their school 'A' teams to 5 set matches during the event.
5 set matches were a regular feature. Matches were long, often lasting well over 2 hours. The highest regular set score was 31-29 and one tie break set went to 20-18.
Congratulations to all teams involved and special thanks to the players coaches and spectators from Havelock North Boys, Napier Boys and Hastings Boys for a speedy pack up at the end of a long day!

18 teams are now competing in this competition which offers two divisions for the players. Catch the top div 1 action form 3.45pm - 4.45pm and then div 2 4.45pm - 5.45pm each Monday night at the PGA in Taradale.


Napier KiwiVolley: NBHS Gym Wednesdays starting 17th February
14 primary school teams are now playing each Wednesday at NBHS gymnasium in Chambers Street Napier. Catch our future talent in action from 3.30pm - 4,30pm each week this term.


Flaxmere KiwiVolley:  Flaxmere College Gym Thursdays starting 18th February
This league is now underway with 8 teams playing two games each week at Flaxmere College form 3.30pm til 4.45pm.  Alot of talent out there in Flaxmere!
