Hutt Valley scooped 3 of the 4 titles available in the 2010 Central Region Teams Competition which concluded in Palmerston North on Sunday 15 August.

Hutt Valley scored a convincing result in the U13 age group winning their first 5 Ties with an 8-0 score line. In the final Wellington managed to take a couple of matches to prevent a clean slate.

In contrast, the U17 section finishing stage was marked by high drama and uncertainty right to the very end. The top 3 teams battled for the medal positions and the closely fought contests resulted in the trio each recording a one win - one loss outcome.

Wellington had to beat Hutt Valley 10-6 in the final Tie to claim the trophy. The Capital side went into the last match with a 9-6 lead but missed getting the last match by a close 18-21 result in the third game.

Two weeks ago, Hutt Valley scored the first of the treble by taking out the U19 section.

Wellington North spoiled their neigbour's party claiming the U15 honours.

The U13 and U17 Tie Result Summary can be viewed in the Document tab.
