UPDATE - 3.00pm Tue 7th Sept:
Alpine have confirmed the rink is operating normally, and has not sustained any structural damage. They were without power for a short time on Saturday, but otherwise have not been impacted.
Hockey is therefore back on schedule, with the first session being Advanced tonight (Tue) at 8.00pm.
Subsequent sessions will be as per the Term 3 schedule, for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
There will be no off-ice sessions at the CPIT Gym tomorrow however, as the Gym is not expected to re-open until next week. No structural damage there either, but still some debris and access issue to sort out.

Welcome to the new website for Canterbury Minor Ice Hockey. This is the premier site for kids ice hockey in Christchurch.
This will be the central contact point for all CMIH Members, and anyone requiring information about junior ice hockey in Christchurch.
Minors hockey works within the overall CIHA (Canterbury Ice Hockey Association) framework, and covers all ice hockey players up to the age of 16.
Games are played at the Alpine Ice Sports Centre on Brougham Street, in Opawa, Christchurch.
The latest Team, Player and Goalie stats and standings for the NZJEL (U16) National League have been published, and can be accessed in the Documents section of the site.

The Term 3 Schedule for Minors has now been published, and you should have received this by email.
A copy of the Schedule is also shown in the Documents section of this site.
Please note that hockey will start for most players on the final weekend of the School Holidays, being Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July.
