Congratulation to our Junior Under 15 & Under 17 teams who fought hard in the National Teams Competition held at Arena Manawatu in July. The U15 First side finished 6th in Div 1 the U15 2nds finished 10th. The U17s finished 6th in Div 1. Well done all!
The U15 players will compete at a number of events from April through to September in 2011.
An under 15 team consists of 4 boys and 4 girls.
A tie consists of 4 boys singles matches, 4 girls singles matches, 2 boys doubles match, 2 girls doubles match and 4 mixed double matches for a total of 16 matches.
All the U15 players are required to be available for the following team competitions.

There are a number of Individual Competitions that we strongly encourage each player to enter.
The more tournaments you play the better you will get. You also earn player points and the more of these you get the less likely you are to meet top players in the early rounds, of if you get enough you will gain a seeding and therefore your chances of progressing in a tournament greatly increase.
You can only earn player points at individual competitions. You do not earn any points at teams competitions.
The first individual tournament of the season is the Wellington North Junior Open on Sat/Sun April 2/3.
