BASK - Bay Association of Sea Kayakers was formed in the mid 1990s and at present has  105 members enjoying fortnightly trips on the sea, lakes and rivers in the Bay of Plenty region and further afield.

Our members range in age from early 20's through to 70+.

We have training days for skills/rescues and surf landings and these are free to members.

We have a quarterly calendar trip programme which includes day, overnight, weekend and longer trips with the club.

Some club members also enjoy privately organised longer trips to places such as D'Urville Island, Great Barrier Island and further afield.

Our annual joining fee is only $25 for a single or $40 per couple / family. Fees are due July 1st each year.

Many of our members also belong to NZ's National kayaking body KASK (Kiwi Association of Sea Kayakers) - check out their website and those of other like-minded clubs using the links below.

Check out our photo Gallery - all  were taken by members on club trips and training days.  Also feel free to read the reports on club trips and training days that members have written (this area of the website is currently being worked on so keep watching for updates).
