Academy lads continue great form Henri Peters continued hitting the 4 metre length on off stump to bowl NOBM CC to another victory.Henri took 4 -31 off 17 overs to bowl out Central HBCC for 155 allowing a 100 run win for the the prems.Mat Jones and Sherwyn Pillay also bowled very tightly to claim a wicket a piece in the victory. Tom Mellor was instrumental in the seniors having their 2nd win of the season. Tom batted 40 overs for a well compiled 94 and then claimed 3 -24 off 7 overs in a man of the match performance v Central HHCC snrs. Mat Chapman had a good all round match as well with 24 runs and inspirational death bowling to seal the victory in the last over by 4 runs.
Latest News Nov 19 -20 Academy lads star in Hawkes Bay cricket. Luke Kenworthy in his second season with the Academy not only made his debut for Hawkes Bay v Taranaki but played a lone hand in giving respectability to a poor HB batting performance. At one stage HB were 96 for 9 with Luke contributing 71 of those runs. HB ended up losing on the first innings by 14 runs.
On the other side of Nelson Park outstanding 5 metre length on off stump pace bowling by Henri Peters 6 - 27 off 15 overs and a cavalier innings by Indika Senarathne 84 not out ( Indis 3rd consecutive half century) in a comfortable win over Tech ensured NOBM CC remain top of the table in prem cricket. Other notable performances in the weekend included Tom Mellor 56 and Ben Leale Green 34 for the seniors in a losing draw.
