29er Class Association of New Zealand

2012 - 29er National Championships
The 2012 NZ 29er National Championships will be held on Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March 2012 at Auckland Sailing Club, Okahu Bay, Auckland. They will be run in conjunction with the 49ers and the 12ft Skiffs. The notice of race and entry form are be available on the Association documents tab of this website.
We hope to see a strong fleet in this regatta representing the class.
The youth selection regattas remain the same as last year being Sail Auckland at Akarana Sailing Club and the 2012 Nationals.


2012 North Island Champs
These will be held at Howick along with the Auckland Champs.


Sail Auckland
Results from the Sail Auckland regatta held from 4-7 February 2012 were as follows:

2. Markus Somerville and Jack Simpson

2012 South Island Champs
These were held at the Ravensbourne Boating Club, Dunedin on 22/23 January 2012
The results were:
1. Peter Graham and Will Hall
2. Dan Meehan and Ted Brown
3. Chris Harris and Billy Brown


Auckland 29er Sailing
Whakatere Yacht Club and Howick Sailing Club, Auckland have joined forces to run 29er club sailing on alternate Sundays in the 2011/2012 season. These regular events have been run for a few seasons and they hope to have a good fleet of 29ers racing each Sunday. 29er sailors from other clubs are very welcome to join in. Dunedin 29er Sailing
Ravensbourne Youth Yachting Trust in conjunction with the Ravensbourne Boating Club runs regular 29er training and racing sessions every Sunday on the Otago harbour. The Trust owns 6 x 29er skiffs with club members having the use of these throughout the season. The sailing club is within walking distance of Otago University.
