KORFBALL CANTERBURY WINTER                   COMPETITION 2011 CANCELLED

It is with great regret, that I have to advise that due to the lack of venue availability, a decision has been made to cancel the competition.  It is unfortunate that our competition has been cut short, but there are some opportunities coming up, to aid with your Korfball fix.

Registration fees:
We are currently revising registration fees to cover the costs of games played. For those who have paid have two options.

A.) Refund of any credit available from fees paid

B.) Fees paid to remain as a donation to Korfball Canterbury, which will be used to aid development of korfball within our region

I will let you know how much would be credited individually. I aim to let everyone know by the end of next week. I do really appreciate all your patience.

KORFBALL CANTERBURY WINTER            COMPETITION 2011 ROUND 7 POSTPONED                  AND TO BE PLAYED 21 JUNE

Cowles Stadium was being used as a welfare centre, following further damage to the Eastern suburbs after the Monday 13 June earthquakes.

The welfare centre is now closed as it is no longer required. Winter competition will recommence next week. Games not played on the 14 June will be played 21 June and the draw will continue from there.

RULES SESSION

We are now into the second round, and the competition is starting to get exciting.

To help continue the high level of competition, Steve Cooper has kindly volunteered to hold a rules session for those of you who are interested in learning in more detail the rules of the game of Korfball.

It is a great opportunity to ask him questions about particular decisions made on the court and gain a better insight and understanding of the rules. More specifically section 3.6

There will be two sessions held:
Wednesday 15 June and Thursday 16 June
7:30pm start

Vacancy is limited. (12 people per session)

If you are interested in attending please email your name, contact phone and session the you would like to attend to kc.winter.comp@gmail.com

Please make sure you also check the draw regularly each week,  to see if you are on Jury Bench duty
