Ashburton Athletic Harrier Club

Welcome to the Ashburton Athletic Harrier Club website.  Whether you're a first timer or a seasoned runner, we are proud to cater for both runners and walkers from a variety of backgrounds and with a range of abilities.

Our Winter programme begins in March and continues through to October.  During this time members have the opportunity to come together for weekly club runs/walks (on a Saturday afternoon) based at members homes around the Mid Canterbury area.  There are also opportunities to find like minded people to train with during the week.

The club also holds a number of competitive events throughout the season such as
* Easter Hop (10mile/16km run, 5mile/8km competitive walk, 5mile/8km fun run/walk)
* Norrie Cup Cross Country
*Handicap Cross Country Champs
*Larkin Pace 3km Handicap Race
*Club Road Champs
*Albert McIntosh 3km Handicap Race.

Club members also travel to venues around Canterbury to take part in events such as
*Link and Hagley Relays
*New Balance 15km Road Race
*South Canterbury Road and Cross Country Champs
*Governors Bay to Lyttleton 10km Handicap Road Race
*Takahe to Akaroa Relay
