Congratulations to Grace Sommerville
After deciding to give it another go Grace returned to Lake Taupo for the NZ Open Water Championships 2012 .
This time she took out the 13-15 year old girls titles in the 10km and 5km events.
However as well as taking out the girls titles Grace finshed 5th overall in both of the events gaining her a bronze medal as the 3rd New Zealander to cross the line in the 10km event.
A huge acheivement which has gained Grace a place in the Open Water Junior Pan Pacific Championships to be held in Hawaii in August 2012. There she will be up against the best Junior Swimmers in the world.
Jennian Homes Ashburton swim team wishes Grace all the best in the coming months leading up to the Championships in Hawaii, as she also attends the Nz National Pool Championships this summer.
