Interested in joining our club next season?
Our family-oriented club caters for children aged between 5 and 14 years for track and field events. For 7-14yr olds these include sprints, high jump, long jump, discus and shot put. For 5 & 6 yr olds a new programme has been designed for this season. Please see 5 & 6 yr old page ( link above) before registering your child.

This year we have coaching at the club, James Mortimer, who has been competing for NZ, both internationally and nationally in sprints and hurdles for the past 12 years.
He has competed at major championships including Commonwealth Games, World Championships and World Cup events.
He has an extensive knowledge and background in speed and power development and looks forward to teaching young and talented New Zealanders, what it takes to become fast, so they too can achieve their goals, no matter what sport.

We are affiliated with Athletics New Zealand, however when you register you will be asked to choose whether you would like to be involved in interclub events throughout the season. (Please see AA junior events calendar, on tab above to decide) Those who choose to be involved will need to purchase a club singlet  $29 and will be required to wear white shorts when participating in these weekend events. The Event calendar is on our website,(tab above) please review this before making your decision.  Interclub athletes will be registered with Athletics Auckland.  Those that do not register for interclub will not be able to compete in these events.

Weekly club nights are held on Wednesdays and are based at Whangaparaoa College, off Delshaw Avenue, Whangaparaoa. We have the use of a full 400m track and have ample space for field events. There is parking by the schools gym off Berdinner road. Also very limited parking on Bonito Avenue but please be very mindful of residents and park carefully.

Season starts 26th October breaking for Xmas after the 7th December, restarting again on the 8th February through to the 28th March (Prizegiving)

Our club is run by a team of volunteers and cannot operate on a Wednesday night without the help of parents. YOUR Children need you! WE need you! We would love for you to be involved and part of our team. Please e-mail Kate ( address below) if you are willing to help.
(We are looking for  4 Track officials, 8 field event officials, 8 age grade marshalls. All training given.)
