President's Message - 2012

Welcome to the 2012 season  may you all enjoy your bowls and have success in your endeavours.

The Association has gained a number of new office holders this year which is very pleasing to see and I ask that you support these people wherever possible to ensure their position not only runs smoothly but is enjoyable and rewarding.

A few areas for us to focus on this year is administration - how to get people on board as administrators, membership - retaining and looking after our current members, and coaching and development  providing members with coaching and developing the game to keep members interested. Should your club need any assistance in any of these areas, please do not hesitate to contact the Association.

Once again, we will be hosting and running the AIMS Games for Year 7 & 8 students in September at the new TECT Arena and this year we have been asked to assist with the North Island Secondary Schools Championships in July. We will be looking for your support during the year to ensure these events are run successfully.

Finally, remember that without you as players and administrators, there is no sport, so keep up the good work and may 2012 bring new ideas and enthusiasm at all levels of the game.

Your President,
Fiona Wilson
