Accolades to Club Members

Well done to club members Graham Stronach & Kyle Waldron who played each other in the 2010 North Wellington Closed Singles final. Graham came out the victor in a very close fought match 15-13. Graham will now represent North Wellington in the New Zealand Champion of Champion singles in Ashuburton later this year!  Good luck Graham!

Graham has certainly started the season with a hiss and a roar.  Graham was Player of the Tournament in the prestigious Napier Easter event.  Graham was 2nd in the fours (with former club member Teri Anderson), 3rd equal in the pairs.  He reached the last 16 in both the singles and triples events.  He also won the Foxton Extravaganza Pairs with Reece Wickenden from Porirua East.  Graham was the top scorer in the recent Thurlow representative match.  

Well done to Robert Hansen who combined with Brent Biggar and Jessie Moffat of Johnsonville in the North Wellington Open Triples.  They were runners up in a close encounter to Sheree Holmes, Chris McAdam and Dave Pollard from Upper Hutt School.
 
Well done to club member Margaret D'Cruz who teamed up with Marie Tunley from Johnsonville.  They made it to the final of the 2010 Posselt Pairs but unfortunately lost to Sylvia Leck & Geoff Inglis of Upper Hutt Valley.

The Newlands ANZAC Pairs was won this year by Lois Randall and Raymond Martin of Lower Hutt.  They beat the husband and wife combination of Trevor and Linda Rayner in the final.  3rd equal was Tim Veale and Katie Burnley, Graham Stronach and Fiona Anderson.
