Troubleshooting
Comprehensive Help for the service is published online at Sportsground.co.nz and
Schoolground.co.nz. Simply login and then click on the 'Help' item listed in
your function panel on the left of your screen.
You may also wish to refer to the
FAQs section or to the section
on
Technical support / helpdesk.
If you are unable to find the help you need, you are welcome to call the
technical support Helpdesk on 0900 777 876 between 9am - 5pm on weekdays. Please
note that Helpdesk calls cost $1.99 + GST per minute to contribute towards the
cost of providing the service. Please ensure you have permission from the
telephone account holder before making your call.
Logging in
If you have forgotten your username or password or are otherwise having
difficulty logging in, please refer to the instructions for Registering and
Logging in the FAQs section. If you haven't received an
email that you were expecting from Sportsground or Schoolground, please refer to
the item 'Problems receiving emails'.
My links have stopped working
To create a hyperlink from within your text to a document or web page, simply
type the destination URL (eg starting with http:// or www or an email address)
into the text box. When you save the page, a link will automatically be created
and become visible to the public (note that you will not see the link until you
log out). If you find a link has broken in your website (ie it no longer links
where you want it to go), the most likely reason is that the destination address
no longer exists. For example, if you created a link to a document or website
and that document or website has been deleted, then your link will fail. Check
that the destination address still exists by browsing to it, then insert it into
your text to replace the broken link. For more information on creating
hyperlinks, please refer to the online Help.
I can't find my site at its address
Each Sportsground and Schoolground website have their own unique URL (web
address) that are a suffix of www.sportsground.co.nz or www.schoolground.co.nz.
For example www.sportsground.co.nz/xyzclub or www.schoolground.co.nz/abcschool.
Any editor of the website for a sports organisation, club or school can change
the URL for its website by logging in and typing a new name. If so, the new name
becomes effective immediately, so you will no longer find the website at its
previous web address. If you are unable to find the web address for a site, try
searching for it from the search pages at www.sportsground.co.nz and
www.schoolground.co.nz
Problems receiving emails
If you haven't received an email that you were expecting from Sportsground or
Schoolground, you should check the email address you have stored by logging in
and clicking 'My details' from the function panel on the left of the screen.
If you're sure your email address is entered correctly, you should check your
junk mail folder and also ensure that your junk mail settings are not blocking
our emails. If you use an email program such as Outlook or Windows Mail, you
should add admin@sportsground.co.nz and admin@schoolground.co.nz to your address
book. For more information on how to ensure our emails aren't blocked by your
spam filter, please refer to this information on
spam filter settings.
