University-Mount Wellington AFC is a soccer club which formed from an amalgamation of the Auckland University AFC and the Mount Wellington AFC and is based at Bill McKinlay Park in Panmure, Auckland.
It has a long tradition of successfully competing at the highest level with a string of National titles and cup successes. Click Here
The club does not currently have a team in the top echelon of New Zealand football or the Northern region. It has decided to focus its resources on a thriving body of social teams, Sunday teams, women's teams, ethnic teams and teams from Auckland regional leagues under the umbrella of the regional organisation, the AFF (Auckland Football Federation) Click Here
These teams play some of their home games at Colin Maiden Park and Point England Reserve, and the rest at a new artificial turf laid at its headquarters, Bill McKinlay Park! (Click on "Turf Rules" above for more information.)
Not surprisingly, Bill McKinlay Park regularly hosts ethnic team tournaments such as the Fiji tournament, one of the best attended soccer events in the city and well worth attending, not only for the quality of the football, but also the sheer pageantry and colour on show.
Of course, the club still hosts other important events at Bill McKinlay Park, which remains one of the best soccer venues in Auckland. Click Here
